SE K750: Full Review - Great Java-based Phone with Strong Battery Life

SE K750

surely has all the features that standard cell phones. But there are also some weaknesses that stick to this phone, in term of technology. Okay, here are the pros and cons of SE K750 based on my personal experience:

Design

Maybe design was not the main thing that brought Sony Ericsson when producing

SE K750

at the first time. Well, that’s because it’s rounded corner of the phone is so similar with any phone around the market.
But, when it comes to quality of multimedia and entertainment, Sony Ericsson must be proud of this creation, because its simplicity of both design and size aspects don’t make this phone less attractive in front of public. It even shows how Sony Ericsson knows really well to get the best out of this phone and finally bring it to the end users.

Phone Accessories

If you buy this phone at the phone shop in a great and complete condition, you will get 1 standard earphone, Sony Ericsson USB Cable, 1 PC Suite, manual books, 1 Travel/Battery Charger, and 64 MB external memory.

Performance

Talking about performance of this phone, it is simply the best. Even the most contagious virus on this planet cannot bring this phone down. This phone is a java built in cell phone, so practically, no virus can spread inside SE K750's system. So it’s guaranteed that your phone will always be secure from any computer virus. However, hang can also happen once in a while.

On performance aspect, this phone doesn't support multitasking. That's why, when running applications, SE K750 can only handle 1 application at a time. But luckily, listening to music while running application is supported on this phone.

Interface and Functionality

The screen of this phone supports the display of TFT 256 colors in the 176 x 220 pixels screen resolution. So every time you open photos or videos, they will be shown beautifully in the small screen.

This phone also supports animated themes, which you can download many of them across the internet.

Something that really becomes the most annoying thing of SE K750 is the D-Pad controller of this phone. The quality of its D-pad is still the same with its predecessor, K700i. It is weak and tends to loose from its anchor after the several times of use. But the D-Pad is fixable if you can know about disassembling the body part of this phone.

Multimedia and Entertainment

For multimedia and entertainment aspects, this phone has its own strength compared to many mid-end cell phones across the market. Its simplicity in design and size doesn’t make K750i poor in offering entertainment to the users. This phone has many things to offer if you really know how to use it properly.

For instance, K750i has a great sound quality. This phone also has FM radio. So if you like writing songs, why don’t you try its composer feature? It's one addicted application.

Gaming Compatibility

SE K750 might not be created by Sony Ericsson as a dedicated gaming phone, but its machine will tell you the other story. K750i is built in the java platform MIDP 2.0 version, and its java version is more advanced than the younger brother, K700i. So basically, it can handle many higher quality of mobile games.

As a starter, you can play Blades and Magic 3D with this phone. As you can see, although the game is adjusted to the smaller screen, but it still runs perfectly and smoothly. The other examples are Need for Speed: Undercover and NFS: Shift. With SE K750. These 2 high quality mobile games can be played conveniently without any lag and hang.

Personally, throughout the years of college, I always loved to play Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 with this phone. I know the game looks small, but it still offers the best quality of soccer game.

Battery Life

The battery endurance of SE K750 is one of the toughest strengths that puts K750i to the upfront as a great multimedia phone. With the standard battery, Li-Po 900 mAh (BST-36)SE K750, K750i will last up to 400 hours in stand-by and up to 9 hours in talk time.

Personally, I’ve been using this phone for almost 4 years, and for your information, I am gamer, so basically, I always spend the entire time in one day just to play soccer game (PES 2009). I also love to listen to music, but only at the end of the day.

So based on my experience, in one full day, I can spend my whole time with this phone almost 5 hours to play games, and 3 – 4 hours to listen to music, so 9 hours in total. And it only needs to be charged once in one day. While its stand by mode can last more than 2 days if I don’t use it at all.

Conclusion

SE K750 is one of the best mobile phone in the market. Its design doesn’t tell you the whole story. Although it looks simple and small, but it is really rich in term of multimedia and entertainment and will surely pass the standard of basic cell phones. Bottom line, once again Sony Ericsson has succeeded in creating a mid-end phone for young and modern people.
