Sony Ericsson 910i
, the first Walkman phone I’ve ever grasped in my whole life. This phone has everything that I’ve ever dreamt of. It runs java games perfectly, it has multitasking functionality, it has screen and motion sensor, there is galore of phone buttons on every side, and it has accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. Bottom line,
Sony Ericsson 910i
is simply the best Sony Ericsson series I’ve ever bought. Period.
Phone Specification
Sony Ericsson 910i operates in 2G and also 3G network with the supports of GSM and HSDPA 2100. Built with the size of 99 X 50 x 12.5 mm and the weight of 86 g, make this phone comfortable to hold and keep in the pocket, the size of this phone is simple perfect, not to heavy and not too light in weight.
Screen Quality
The screen always becomes the first and center attention when using mobile phone, so that’s why with the support of 240 x 320 pixels on screen resolution, makes everything clear in our eyes when seeing the detail of screen. Moreover, the size of the screen is 2.4 inches, which is big enough compared to any other SE phone with the same resolution. So don’t be surprised if everything that you see on this phone looks amazing and satisfying.
Features
This phone runs MP3, MP4 videos (but the videos must be firstly adjusted to mobile phone’s MP4, not computer’s MP4), WMV sounds, WAV and AAC ringtones, polyphonic, MIDI, M4A, and 3GP videos. For 3GP videos, sometimes, it runs slowly either when it’s played or skipped to the next video.
This phone supports Photo and video call, call records, Bluetooth, FM radio, EDGE, TrackID music recognition, SensMe, Predictive text input, Picture editor, Organizer and Voice memo.
Connectivity
For internet connection, this phone is built in GPRS Class 10, 32 -48 kbps and with the support of 3G HSDPA network, 3.6 Mbps (only on Sony Ericsson 910i) help accelerate the upload and download time of internet data. This phone has also built-in xHTML/HTML browser of WAP 2.0 and NetFront 3.3.
Data Storage
Having problem with limit of 40 MB internal data? Don’t you worry about that, there are many shops that sell Memory Stick Micro (M2) with the capacity up to 4 GB. For connectivity to PC or laptop, this phone has also been equipped with USB v2.0.
Camera
On camera and video departments, you will get 2MP, 1600 X 1200 pixels quality of picture and QVGA@15fps quality of video. Which I think the developer can actually push more the quality of both picture and video to get much better display compared to the whole sophistication you will get with this phone. But, it’s fair to say that the quality of its camera is mediocre. It’s not bad, it’s only mediocre.
Java Version MIDP 2.0
Lastly, Sony Ericsson 910i is supported with Java MIDP 2.0, which is the higher and of course, the standard quality of any java phones you can find in the market. I rarely find the higher version of MIDP 2.0 on any other phones, but I actually found 1 phone that operates in MIDP 2.1, it’s LG something. But the standard of java phone should now be MIDP 2.0, which can handle any java application perfectly.
Walkman 3.0 Player
Okay, this is the most important and most wanted feature on this phone, the Walkman feature. This phone is planted with the Walkman 3.0 player on its internal machine. So no wonder if the part that will get scrutiny from the users is the Walkman feature.
Anyway, for the quality of sounds, it’s pretty amazing to hear music with this phone, especially with the help of Walkman series earphone. In other situation, I try to plug in the earphone of this phone on my K750i phone, and the result is fantastic. The Mega Bass equalizer puts the bass to the upfront. It even elevates the quality of Mega Bass to the next level compared if you hear music with normal earphone on K750i. So I believe that the W910’s earphone also holds the important role in pushing the quality of sounds on this phone.
