Design
When looking at the whole design of Nokia 6303i Classic, I remembered the time my parents gave me my first cell phone ever, yeah, and it was long long time ago when I was a kid. By releasing Nokia 6303i classic, Nokia wants to introduce this phone as a really classic phone with classic design but it promises us a lot of great things than just a old school cellular.
Presented beautifully in shinny silver metallic body cover, this phone should get people to know that what made Nokia brought this phone to the market was not just to grasp a low-end and mid-end market demands, but it also showed how classic idea will always be best idea to explore when the new trend is looking for a new fresh idea.
Phone Specification
In our Nokia 6303i review, with the weight of 96 g, this phone feels light in our palm. Displayed in a deep TFT, 16M colors and presented well in the 240 x 320 pixel screen resolution, Nokia 6303i classic features Bluetooth, USB port, Flash Lite 3.0, EDGE, FM Stereo radio with RDS, MP3/WAV/eAAC+/WMA player, H.263/H.264 player, Nokia Maps 2.0, Organizer, and the ability to do a Voice memo/dial.
Nokia 6303i Review: Internal and External Memory
The capacity aspect will always be the main thing when purchasing a phone, so that’s why Nokia has provided this phone with 55 internal memory and another 2GB already included external memory, which can also be upgraded up to 16GB (verified).
Nokia 6303i Review: Connectivity
For internet connection, Nokia has injected GPRS class 32 to this phone but can only do a 2G network, which is pretty shame. But considering that Nokia 6303i is in the low-to-mid-end price range, it is fine to have only 2G network in its operator system.
Camera
Now the most important thing in this Nokia 6303i review is the camera aspect. Nokia is aware that when it releases Nokia 6303i to the market, it will bring scrutiny to this phone, that’s why Nokia has injected a 3.15 MP quality camera, with the ability to do a fixed-focus, LED flash and will produce photos in a deep 2048x1536 pixels. In our deep Nokia 6303i review, when viewing or sliding the photos on the mobile screen with the D-pad is pretty smooth and responsive, where the D-Pad looks solid on the center.
With Nokia 6303i, you can also record your own moment conveniently with the support of QVGA@8fps video recording quality.
Phone Accessories
It’s good to know that Nokia 6303i classic is brought to the market in 6 different case covers, Steel, Matt Black, Chestnut, Illuvial pink, White on Silver, Khaki on Gold. So you should get another color if you’re not really satisfied with a flat silver metalic.
Performance
There is no Symbian operating system found in this phone, so the users should be happy to only have Java MIDP 2.1 platform to operate games and applications, which is also perfect since we all know that MIDP 2.1 version is the highest version of java platform around the market, where MIDP 2.0 is still the standard on any mobile phone.
Battery Life
Nokia 6303i classic is provided with a Standard battery, Li-Ion 1050 mAh (BL-5CT) that can last up to 8 hours in talk time. This should be considered as good development for Nokia products, since we all know that the battery life of any Nokia cell phones will depreciate pretty faster when it's used on hardcore usages.
Conclusion
Based on our Nokia 6303i review, this phone may not have a great looking design compared to other similar competitors around the market. It looks classic on the outside and the length of its body makes it look outdated. But, at this price range, Nokia 6303i classic should be a worth buying mobile phone.
Bottom line, its richness of feature, good quality camera, big screen, shinny metallic body and highest version of Java MIDP 2.1 should be you considerations when getting this phone.
