Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 specifications, features and design, this phone can be categorized as a high-end smart phone and this phone is surely a worth buying smart phone around the market.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Specifications
In the era of touchscreen cellular, Sony Ericsson has been doing really great with its Xperia series so far, with the exception of the Xperia Yendo, which is not really impressive because it is not an Android based device. But for the other Xperia Android smart phones, Sony Ericsson has done really outstanding job in helping Android market give a fierce competition with the iOS market. Xperia X8 is one of Sony Ericsson’s army that I am talking about.

Design
Previously rumored as Sony Ericsson Shakira, Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 runs in the same framework design with the other Xperia series. For instance, this phone looks really similar with the Xperia X10 Mini or X10 Mini Pro. But to make a size comparison, Xperia X8 takes place between X10 and X10 mini. So X8 is a lot bigger than X10 Mini, but smaller than X10.
The whole design of Xperia X8 looks really cute and elegant, especially with the bright color on the case cover. The chrome metallic keys that being deployed around this phone also elevates the whole design of this phone.
Personally, I'm really impressed with the whole design of this phone. Its rounded shape on every side and its white cover really make this phone look simple but sophisticated in implementation. Xperia X8 is one great looking device. I really appreciate how the manufacturer has found its great formula of making touch screen smart phone that doesn’t resemble to the general touch screen devices across the market. Xperia series totally has its own identity amongst other competitors.

The 3.0 inches screen of Sony Ericsson X8 is produced in high resolution screen of 320 x 480 pixels, giving more accurate interface to the users. And with the help of TFT capacitive touchscreen that supports display of 16M colors, every thing that you see on the screen will be presented beautifully and can be operated smoothly without a problem. Moreover, the screen has also been injected with abilities of Scratch-resistant surface, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off and Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate. The last one can be so handy when viewing your phone in landscape mode.
The interface of Xperia X8 has a quite similarity with the interface of X10 Mini. That’s why the manufacture has decided to implant Xperia X8 with the same interface used by Xperia X10 Mini, especially with the TimeScape UI.
One thing that maybe could weaken the interface aspect of Xperia X8 is the lack of multi-touch which has become the huge trademark of touch screen smart phone. Without this feature, Xperia X8 is kind of missing one significant element that leaves a void to its machine.
As many of you know, multi-touch feature is really important for touch screen smart phone, especially for gaming that currently has really huge collection of high quality games that mostly require multi-touch in implementation. In internet browser, it could also be a huge loss because in standard smartphone, zoom in/zoom out with pinching mode is a must.
