The Google's first tablet that is priced for insanely $199 comes with many amazing specs in it. This tablet has high-resolution screen, fast processor with Tegra 3 chip, powerful GPU for graphical performance, great battery life, fully support from Google for the latest software update, and last but not least, fluid User Interface, thanks to Project Butter.

So no wonder if Nexus 7 has been awarded as "the best tablet of this year", "best selling Android tablet in UK", and recently, the 3G model of this tablet just sold out in its first debut on Google Play Store.

So if you're looking for a great cheapest tablet PC this holiday, then Google Nexus 7 is definitely a perfect choice for you.

Quick Review: Last year, Amazon has managed to sell over 5 million units of Kindle Fire 1. And now, Amazon is back to bring you the sequel of its most successful tablet. It's now called as Kindle Fire HD. As the name of this tablet reads, Kindle Fire HD brings a full HD experience to the users.

The screen has been upgraded, the processor too, not to mention, the Android 4.0 ICS now comes pre-installed on this tablet. But the most importantly, the price is still the same, $199 for the smaller storage model.

Besides the 7-inch model, Amazon also releases the 8.9-inch model that of course brings much better specs than the smaller model. Kindle Fire HD is definitely a perfect choice for you if you're looking for a great tablet this holiday.

Quick Review: Acer used to be really active in laptop-making business. But now, Acer has decided to change the course and enter the tablet market. Acer Iconia Tab A110 is one of Acer's creations. This tablet can be considered as a great rival for Nexus 7. Why? Well, it's because the specs of Acer's tablet are on par with Google Nexus 7. But the good thing about Acer's tablet is that it comes with microSD card slot and HDMI port, while Nexus 7 doesn't have them.

So if you're looking for a great alternative for Nexus 7, then Acer Iconia Tab A110 is definitely the one you're looking for. The other good thing is, this tablet is also affordable just like Google's tablet or Kindle Fire HD.

4. Upgraded Kindle Fire 1 7-inch and 8.9-inch by Amazon

Amazon rating: Excellent
(961) 3.6 out of 5 stars

$159 (8GB), $199 (16GB)

Specs: 7-inch LCD display, 1224x600 pixels, 1.2GHz OMAP 4430 dual-core processor, 2 Wi-Fi antennas, Android 4.0 ICS, no microSD card slot, 8/16GB of internal storage  See full specs.

Quick Review: Kindle Fire 1 now has been upgraded by Amazon. The performance now will be a lot faster, the software has been updated and the most importantly, the price has been lowered by Amazon for just $159 for the smaller 8GB model and $199 for the 16GB variant.

With Kindle Fire, you can read books, magazines, surf the internet, check your email, play few games, and many more. Kindle Fire is a really marvelous device at this low price range. I'm glad this tablet PC was not made by Apple because if it was, the price of this awesome device would absolutely skyrocket.

5. Acer Iconia Tab A100 8GB

Amazon rating: Great
(182) 3.9 out of 5 stars

$249.99

Specs: 7-inch HD screen, 1024x600 pixel resolution, 1GB of RAM, 1GB dual-core Tegra 2 processor, Android 2.1 Honeycomb, NVIDIA GeForce GPU, 5MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera, microSD card slot, 8GB of internal storage, HDMI port, See full specs.

Quick Review:Just like Acer Iconia A110 above, this predecessor is also still a perfect choice for you if you're looking for a solid build tablet at affordable price tag. The specs that come with Acer Iconia Tab A100 are a bit lower than the specs of its sequel, A110. However, this tablet can still be considered as great quality tablet based on the whole aspect.

Acer Iconia A100 has great processor and graphics hardware from NVIDIA, which is a really popular chip maker in the world. And then, just like its sequel, Acer Iconia A100 has microSD card slot and HDMI port, which cannot be found on Google Nexus 7.

The very good thing about this tablet than Acer Iconia A110, even Google Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD is the 5MP rear-facing camera and 2-MP front facing camera on this tablet. Totally, a worth buying tablet in the market.

Unfortunately, some customers are complaining about its battery life.

Specs: 7 inch Tablet, Digital TFT LCD, 600 x 800 pixels, WiFi, 3.5mm Headphone jack, Internal Memory: 1 GB, Expandable Memory: SD/SDHC, MMC/MMC+ upto 32 GB, See full specs.

Quick Review: PanDigital Tablet Computer looks really just like an iPad (white) if you look at a glance. Fortunately, I really like the whole aspect of this tablet PC in the real implementation. At this low price range for $89.95, you will be a happy customer if decide to get this tablet.

First of all, this tablet PC is really cheap. The battery life is just good, even when browsing with WiFi on, will still last for a couple of hours. Although it’s a bit heavy, the screen resolution of 800x600 and the color are just nice and better than the other tablets at this low price range. However, many users feel really disappointed with this tablet PC and don’t recommend this product to the new users.

7. Le Pan Android Tablet PC by Le Pan

Amazon rating: Excellent
4.3 out of 5 stars (97 user opinions)

$219.98

Quick Review: The whole design of Le Pan Google Android Tablet looks really flat and not really eye catchy. But once you have a hold of this tablet in your hands, you will absolutely think the other way. This tablet PC is really sophisticated device at a low price range. The first thing to show off is the superb quality of its battery life. The touch screen is also really responsive and fast in implementation. At this low price range, Le Pan Google Android Tablet is absolutely a great alternative for iPad.

8. Coby Kyros 7-Inch 4 GB

Amazon rating: Great
3.4 out of 5 stars (355 user opinions)

$130.65

Specs: Android 2.3, 7-Inch Tablet with touch screen, 800 x 480 pixels, 4GB Flash Removable: microSDHC card Slot (up to 32 GB), 3.5mm headphone out, Integrated microphone See full specs.

Quick Review: Finding the best alternative for iPad can be so difficult since we all know that iPad is the most popular tablet PC around the globe. The job can be a lot harder if you only have limited budget in your pocket. But luckily, the one tablet called Coby Kyros 7-Inch 4 GB Internet Touchscreen can make you a smart customer. Though the screen is flat, the frame has a great quality. Everything on this tablet PC is just precisely engineered.

The battery life is also the best element from this device. With only 1 hour charging, the battery will last around 6 hours, even with WiFi on. This tablet can play flash movies in the web browser and it can also load the full website, so browsing is really pleasing. Auto-rotate also works perfectly on this device. I can read books, check emails, listen to MP3 and many more. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support Bluetooth.

9. Velocity Micro Cruz Reader

Amazon rating: Good
3.2 out of 5 stars (266 user opinions)

$119.98

Quick Review: Velocity Micro Cruz Reader looks pretty much like a Kindle fire if you look at the front side of this tablet. Maybe the reason why it looks pretty similar with Kindle Fire is because the book interface showing your book collection looks just like the interface of Kindle Fire.

However, considering that this tablet is cheaper than the Kindle Fire, Velocity Micro Cruz Reader is really good, but not better than Fire. The screen interface of this device is really clean and reading text is convenient. The touch screen is also responsive. Reading books with this device can be a lot easier with the help from the Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. The battery life is also good with WiFi on.

10. ARCHOS Internet Tablet 8GB

Amazon rating: Good
3.3 out of 5 stars (135 user opinions)

$174.99

Quick Review: At this middle price range, ARCHOS 101 Internet Tablet looks really small. That’s because with the budget around $199, we should expect to get much bigger tablet than this small pocket tablet. The great part from this tablet is the huge screen and the loud stereo speaker.

11. Pandigital Novel 2 GB Color eReader

Amazon rating: Great
3.4 out of 5 stars (17 user opinions)

$83.72

Specs: Android, 7 inches TFT LCD touch screen, Wi-Fi, 2GB Internal Memory with SD/SDHC/MMC card slot, 800 x 600px See full specs.

Quick Review: Another tablet that I believe can be your next target if you cannot afford the iPad is Pandigital Novel 2 GB. Unlike the previous version, PanDigital 72-70FW 7-Inch Tablet Computer, which comes with 1GB internal memory, this next version proves to be the better one. In fact, this tablet is a really great machine and awesome e-book reader.

The Android that has been injected to this device really helps a lot and is so handy for the users. Different with iPad, this tablet surprisingly is really lightweight and you can even hold it with only using 1 hand and turn to the other pages with the same hand easily. This tablet also has a bookmark capability that allows you to mark and go back to that page quickly and easily. The only weakness from this tablet is that this tablet is really slow when booting up. If you can get such a good tablet for such a low price, I believe this tablet can be your good choice of tablet.

12. Velocity Micro Tablet

Amazon rating: Good
3.0 out of 5 stars (132 user opinions)

$136.95

Specs: Wifi with full browser support, 800x600 capacitive touch screen, Access to the official Android App store, Built-in Dictionary, OfficeSuite, Notepad, Astro, Alarm Clock, Calendar, and other useful apps See full specs.

Quick Review: As a cheapest tablet PC, Velocity Micro has much to say in the tablet markets. This tablet proves to be a good tablet and awesome e-book reader. It does everything we really want it for a tablet. The video playback is also excellent. Web surfing with this tablet is also such a great experience. Tons of applications are available from Android Market alternatives. I'm really impressed with this one.

13. KLU Touch ScreenTablet PC

Amazon rating: Good
3.2 out of 5 stars (12 user opinions)

$129.95

Specs: 7-inch Android 2.1 Resistive Touchscreen, 4GB Internal Memory, MicroSD Card Slot, Processor Speed 1 GHZ See full specs.

Quick Review: As a customer, you will be happy with this purchase. The reason is simple. This tablet has a really nice screen and the battery life is really superb, which can last for days between charges. The fast processor also delivers such a fluid and smooth interface on the screen. The operating system that has been injected to this tablet, which is Android version 2.1 and can be upgraded, also provides a really good performance of this tablet. KLU 7-Inch Touch Screen comes with APK program installer. Overall, at this low price range, this tablet is definitely a good choice for you.

14. R90L200 Tablet Computer

Amazon rating: Good
3.2 out of 5 stars (16 user opinions)

$149.99

Specs: Android, TFT LCD touchscreen 9 inches, 2GB Internal Memory, 480 x 800px, Wi-Fi, SD/SDHC, MMC/MMC up to 32GB, 1600mAh Li-Ion Battery See full specs.

Quick Review: R90L200 Android Black Tablet looks pretty similar with the Kindle Fire if we look at the interface of book collection. This tablet comes with the Android operating system, but unfortunately, this device doesn’t really have good application compatibility when it comes to Flash or GPS-based applications. This will also sacrifice the Google Maps, Facebook games and also Places. Browsing internet with this tablet is still fine.

The other let down from this tablet is we are unable to use Google’s Android Market, which is very important to browse applications across Android OS. But overall, R90L200 Android Black Tablet is still an excellent e-Book reader. However, if you can add a little money to your budget, I would certainly recommend the Kindle Fire, which is the best portable tablet PC around the market, besides iPad.

15. Coby Kyros Android Tablet

Amazon rating: Great
3.4 out of 5 stars (318 user opinions)

$169.95

Specs: Android 2.3, 4GB Memory Internal, microSDHC card Slot (up to 32GB), Intel Pentium 4 2.1 GHz, LCD 800 x 480, Integrated speaker, Integrated microphone, 4 GB RAM DRAM See full specs.

Quick Review: The design of Coby Kyros MID7015 Touchscreen Tablet looks pretty elegant and portable on the front side. Unfortunately, the design of this tablet PC is not followed by the whole quality and features that being offered to the user. No Android Market is the first thing to know, which can create another problem to browse additional applications across Android OS. The screen is also hard to use. Again, at this price range, if you can add a little cost to your budget, aim for the Kindle Fire. It will absolutely blow Coby Kyros out of the water.

16. Sylvania Mini Tablet

Amazon rating: Average
2.6 out of 5 stars (29 user opinions)

$139.99

Specs: 2GB Flash Drive, 1 Memory Slots, Android 2.1, 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM, 7-Inch, Mobile Processor Samsung ARM 11, 2GB Flash Memory, 1.8 pounds, Wifi, Intel Pentium M 0.8 GHz Intel Pentium M, 80 GB, 6 hours battery life See full specs.

Quick Review: Sylvania Mini Tablet is another Android-based tablet PC that comes with a solid design and pre-installed music app and a picture/video app. The good things that you can get from this device are the accelerometer, the stylus, the WIFi, the Skyfire and default Android browsers. Unfortunately, the Skyfire connection of WiFi on this tablet PC doesn’t like to work with the airport WiFi or any WiFi that requires acceptance sign-in. Overall, Sylvania Mini Tablet should be great as e-Book reader, music player and video player. If these 3 elements you’re really looking for in the tablet PC, this one is surely a good choice.

Well, those are 16 tablets that I believe are the cheapest tablet PC around the market to date. Hope this article can help you decide which tablet you really need for your daily activities.

Anyway, if you feel what I write in this article is useful for you, then I would appreciate you if you want to share this article to your friends or your family via Twitter or Facebook.
