If I'm allowed to express my judgment, there’s something weird with the screen interface of this Samsung Galaxy S Wifi model
. I might say that the manufacturer is really halfhearted when producing this tablet. It’s too small for a WiFi tablet, but it looks too big compared to the other cell phones around the market. I cannot even compare this tablet to the other touch screen smart phones because this tablet is not even equipped with the cell phone functionality, such as: sms, mms or even phone call. But fortunately, Samsung has already anticipated this issue.
Design
Not much that I can uncover from the design aspect of Samsung Galaxy S Wifi. However, with the size of this tablet, at least this tablet is more portable compared to the other 7 and 10 inches tablets
. So practically, pulling off this tablet from your side pocket to the public sight doesn’t make you look like you want to show it off in front of people because this tablet still looks just like a normal touch screen phone.

Interface and Functionality
The diagonal screen of Samsung Galaxy S Wifi, which is 5 inches, comes with the widescreen orientation. Watching movies with this tablet feels really wide and bigger, including the HD movies, browsing the internet or playing games.
Compared to the other 7 and 10 inch tablets, I believe playing games or watching movies with the Samsung Galaxy S Wifi can be considered great. Your fingers can still reach the virtual buttons so easily. However, if this tablet is utilized for browsing the internet, the 5 inch screen doesn’t feel quite big. And the one that is sacrificed is the font size, which looks quite small. Therefore, the “pinch to zoom” function must be utilized in this regard.
The experience of looking at the touch screen of Samsung standard phones, which usually is convenient even under the excessive light, apparently cannot be found on the Samsung Galaxy S Wifi. It even makes it harder to find the right menu when using this tablet on outdoors environment. Maybe since Samsung Galaxy S Wifi is a tablet, then it should also be used inside the house.

Samsung Galaxy S Wifi has been equipped with the Android operating system 2.2.2 or “Froyo” and up until I write this review, is still one of the most popular Android versions around the market to date. Combined with the interface ala Samsung, then this Android tablet can be really easy to use for those of people who are already familiar with Android.
The applications are arranged in the form of tidy pages, where you can see all required menus in one page. You don’t need to slide to the top in order to find the other menus, instead, you only need to open the new page.

Since Samsung Galaxy S Wifi is not fully equipped with the cell phone functionality, then the only connectivity facilities on this phone are the WiFi connection 802.11 and also the Bluetooth, which later will be your only main equipments in order to establish connection with the other devices.

As many of you know, taking pictures with this phone requires you to touch the camera icon on the screen and not the separated physical button. So the results of the photos cannot be said as perfect compared to the other 3.2MP cell phones in the same class. However, to elevate the quality of the photos, the system of this phone will try to increase the brightness, but it’ll also decrease some of object details inside the photos.
Battery Life
Not much that I can uncover on the hardware aspect. It’s still considered standard for nowadays’ tablets. The only thing that becomes the scrutiny of Samsung Galaxy S Wifi is the battery aspect. Samsung claims that the battery of this phone has an endurance of 2500 mAh, which the WIFi and the touch screen display will consume the most of its battery endurance. So this should be a great news for users.
Unfortunately, the battery of this phone is produced inside the compartment, just like on the iPhone. So it’s really difficult to plug in or plug off the battery from the device.
This small tablet can be considered as great, in term of portability. It’s really easy to bring this phone to anywhere else without needing for another addition room. Unfortunately, if there is something problem with the WiFi hotspot at the place you live, then the portability aspect of this tablet is decreasing. Well that’s because you will need to bring along the WiFi router around you.
Conclusion
Samsung Galaxy S Wifi can be really great for gaming experience and watching movies on the go. This tablet is like the smaller version of iPod Touch. So for those people who love simplicity, there are many other touch screen smart phones close to 5 inches screen, which can also be used to make a call, to browse internet and doing many other things that cannot be done with this this phone. However, this small tablet is still worth buying gadget.
