I’ve always been so excited to seen another new sliding cell phone is being released by Sony Ericsson, especially when it’s rolled out under the Walkman series. Well, the reason is simple. It’s because if Sony Ericsson can march all of its Walkman series that were produced as sliding mechanism cell phones, they all look amazing. All of these phones are also outstanding in the real implementation. Sony Ericsson W580i is no exception.

Design
The design of Sony Ericsson W580i looks pretty similar to any sliding mechanism phone from this manufacturer. I believe Sony Ericsson really loves this kind of design and has made it as its best formula to create many new sliding cell phones. That’s why this manufacturer has implemented this type of design on all of its creations under the Walkman series.
Just like many Walkman series cell phones, the D-Pad of Sony Ericsson W580i looks really elegant with its chrome silver surface and has been assigned as Walkman dedicated navigation keys, besides as the normal direction pad. The other physical keys of this phone also look solid and elegant with its chrome sliver.
Overall, the design of Sony Ericsson W580i looks really blending with whole design of this phone. Moreover, the standard keypad buttons on the sliding keyboard have a great distance from one button to another one, so it’s really pleasing to press and to use in the daily basis.
Interface and Functionality
The screen interface also gets the best treatment from this manufacturer. With the support of the TFT, 256K colors and 240 x 320 pixels screen resolution, the display looks really clean and bright. The 2.0 inch screen itself appears really wide around the front side of the phone.

But overall, this phone is still a worth buying cell phone at this price range.
