Motorola WX390: The Cheapest ROKR in Town

Cell phone series, ROKR, has been known as the music dedicated cell phone made by Motorola. And this one called Motorola WX390becomes the cheapest ROKR series ever created.

Design

Motorola WX390 is designed in the rod form with pretty small and light body. The design of this phone is also pretty simple, because there is only a USB mini port around the body part to let users charge the phone and plug in their headset to the phone.

The screen color of Motorola WX390 is pretty small that doesn’t look too much sharp on outside. The interesting part is besides having a normal wallpaper, there is also a wallpaper than can change automatically with the customized time frame that is set based on the collection of pictures inside the phone. The screen itself is also equipped with 3 options of themes.

Multimedia and Entertainment

Motorola WX390 is provided with 2 entertainment features, MP3 Player and Radio. If the phone is only used to play music, the battery can last around 13 hours nonstop. The MP3 Player is also added with an automatic song searching feature, equalizer and 4 color display options.

The quality of the sound that is produced by the speaker is not too loud but sounds so clear. You can hear music with this phone by using a cable headset or Bluetooth headset, which can produce a really stereo sound. While listening to music with MP3 Player, other menus or applications can be opened at the same time. WX390 also has a capability to play video files.

The Video Player of this phone can do an automatic video searching to look for any video files on that phone. Unfortunately, the video format that is available to play on this phone is only AVI format.

Camera

Motorola WX390 is also equipped with VGA camera that has been injected with many facilities, such as: Quality, Timer, Night Mode, Brightness, Frame and Color. The result of the photo that is taken on this phone can be used directly to the contact or wallpaper, and can also be sent via MMS or Bluetooth. Beside of that, photos can also be edited with a feature called Photo Artist, which contains many awesome facilities, such as: Frame, Icon, Add Text, Rotate and Scretch (to expand the photo in full screen size).

The camera of this phone can be used for video recording. However, the video result doesn’t look pretty smooth, especially if there are many movements in the process of recording that video. So if you want to make a good quality video, you need to stay fixed or static when recording the video.

Data Storage

In order to store any kind of files, this cell phone really counts on the external memory in the form of microSD card that is available at the phone shops up to 2GB. Unfortunately, it is sold separately.

Conclusion

Bottom line, even though Motorola WX390 is released to the market at the low price range, the quality of this ROKR type of phone is still pretty average compared to the other phones at the same price range and specs.
