Appears as a business cell phone doesn’t mean that Nokia E66 also look stiff as a cell phone. With the sliding mechanism design that is brought on this phone proves to be capable to present Nokia E66 as a stylish phone, which is also considered as a smart phone. Okay, in this Nokia E66 review
, let me talk about the whole aspect and features that being brought in this phone.
Design
Far beyond the predecessor (Nokia E65), in term of many aspects, Nokia E66 looks run in the same core design with Nokia E65. Variety of awesome features that are carried in this phone can be said as equal with Nokia E90.
Nokia E66 was introduced to the market at the same time Nokia released Nokia E71. These 2 phones were predicted to have the similar features, and the difference was only on the design aspect. Nokia E66 is designed as a slider phone which looks similar with the predecessor, Nokia E65, while Nokia E71 has QWERTY keypad just like Nokia E61i. However, there is specific capability of Nokia E66 that cannot be found on Nokia E71.
And that is the ability to automatically rotate the screen display from vertical to horizontal (Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotates), or visa verse in one direction. But don’t be baffled if suddenly the screen of this phone doesn’t rotate as should be, it’s maybe that you spin the phone in wrong direction. This auto-rotate feature can only be done to the left side and not the right side.
Anyway, besides that auto-rotate ability, practically, there is almost no difference between these 2 phones. Both also have the same capability of HSDPA, 3.2 MP camera, WiFi, VoIP and other sophisticated features.

Connectivity
Bluetooth and Infrared have been provided on this phone as a wireless connectivity. In order to connect this phone to the PC or laptop via data cable, there is a USB port on the left side of this phone.
2.5 mm Headphone Jack
The fact that Nokia E66 is not intended by the manufacture to be a music cell phone really makes Nokia want to embed the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack to this phone. As a replacement, there is only 2.5 mm headphone that is equipped as the stereo headset. And if you want to use your own headset, don’t forget to prepare the converter as well.
Camera + Mirror
This cell phone has been added with digital camera that is considered as good. The 3.2 MP camera on the back side of this phone is fully equipped with the features from Autofocus, LED Flash, and small mirror to take a photo as self-portrait.
Conclusion
Bottom line, if the predecessor, Nokia E65 was already mesmerizing with the elegant leather casing wrapping, Nokia E66 is so much better with the aluminum touch on the entire body and also much more advanced features. However, based on this Nokia E66 review, seeing all the features on this phone and considering that the price of this phone is still expensive, you might to wait when its price declines.
