Samsung is back to bring another new QWERTY-slider-designed cell phone to the market. With its tiny size, Samsung B3310 has a unique positioned keypad.
Samsung B3310 is designed with a sliding mechanism on the back. When its slider is opened, it will show you the QWERTY keyboard that has a pretty wide area and the buttons are really convenient to press. The design and position of the QWERTY keyboard itself is made as a slider board in order to make it easier for the users to use it for messaging or typing purposes.
One of the unique sides of Samsung B3310 is definitely the absence of numeric keypad on the QWERY keyboard. Instead, the numeric buttons are placed on the left side of the front device in lengthy line position. However, this kind of design really makes it harder for users to use it in daily basis.
When this cell phone is positioned horizontally, the navigation key and left/right soft key are provided. The body of Samsung B3310 has a light plastic material.

Camera
The other aspect that I want to discuss in this Samsung B3310 review is the camera aspect.
For photography purposes, Samsung B3310 is already equipped with 2 MP camera. Although it doesn’t have the support of flash light, the result of pictures can still look great and bright. The camera itself can also record video. The video result that has MP4 format and screen resolution of 320x240 pixels looks pretty sharp.
Multimedia and Entertainment
On entertainment aspect, this cell phone has a Music Player that is capable to organize songs based on the artist, genre or album. It can also organize songs based on the user’s pick in the Playlist. The Music Player is also equipped with variety of sound effect options. Unfortunately, the sound of the speaker is not really special, and not loud enough, although it’s pretty clear.
Samsung B3310 provides information searching facility called Find Music Recognition that is similar with TrackID owned by Sony Ericsson. To use this feature, you will only need to record a snippet of song and this cell phone will connect to the searching database via internet.
Samsung B3310 has also been equipped with Video Player that is capable to play 3GP and MP4 files. But unfortunately, the screen size of Samsung B3310 is not quite big, so it’s not really pleasing to watch videos with this device. The other great feature on this phone is FM Radio.
Connectivity
Based on this Samsung B3310 review, the social networking accesses are well accommodated on Samsung B3310 with the addition of Communities menu. This menu contains many social networking site links, from MySpace, Facebook and Friendster. There are also some photo uploading site links, such as: Picasa, Photobucket and Flickr. Not to mention with the addition of chatting facility called Mini Fring. And for the internet connectivity, The EDGE and GPRS are still the main tools.
Privacy Lock
Another cool feature from Samsung B3310 is definitely the privacy lock feature. This feature has been exclusive on many of Korea-made cell phones. With Privacy Lock, it can protect all the Messages, Files, Call log, Phonebook, Calendar, Memo and Task, by using special password.
Mobile Tracker
This feature called Mobile Tracker is also the other interesting feature that I want to talk about in this Samsung B3310 review. Mobile Tracker can help find this cell phone if it’s stolen or lost. The number on the SIM card of the thief or the person who found it can be identified directly after that person replaces the SIM card.
Conclusion
Samsung was aware when releasing this phone to the market, it would target low-end market. However, although the price of this phone is considered cheap, it doesn't mean that Samsung B3310 brings average quality features to the users. 2MP camera and high resolution screen can be 2 of many best things you can get from this phone.
