There’s nothing to say about the design of this phone. If you’re already familiar with how cheap cell phone looks like, then it will make it easier for you to picture it in your mind how Samsung E2120 Zinnia looks like.

Yup, this phone looks pretty standard with most of general cheap cell phones out there; simple design, small screen with low resolution on the upper position, standard numeric keypad on below position and D-Pad in the middle position alongside 4 other physical keys.

Volume buttons can be found on the right side of this phone, which is only useful to increase or decrease the volume level when doing call or listening to your favorite ringtones. Other than that, Samsung E2120 Zinnia doesn’t really offer any special thing on music or audio aspect.

I think the biggest highlight of the front side of this phone is definitely the D-Pad. This D-Pad is produced by the vendor in the shape of football or soccer ball. But I don’t know whether this D-Pad makes this phone look cool or otherwise, look like a truly cheap cell phone. Interestingly, the area around the entire side of this phone is designed or wrapped up with really textured surface, which makes this phone feel nice to hold.

Maybe the numeric keypad of this phone is the one that I’m really impressed of. Each button on the keypad is designed in prominent out-curved shape. So pressing each button is really convenient and finding which button you want to press is also easier.

The screen of this phone also looks simple and is not interesting to talk about. The supports of CSTN 65K colors and 128x128 pixel resolution are obviously not special if you compare this phone with the other cheap smart phones that already have supported higher screen resolution. Moreover, the screen of this phone is really small in the size of 1.52 inches. So I don’t have much to say about the screen aspect of this phone or even the user interface.

Snapping photos or videos is also not the cool thing you can do with this phone. Samsung E2120 Zinnia is only provided with low quality VGA camera. So definitely, the photo or video quality is not something to be proud of. Inserting your photos, videos, music or any media files in this phone is also not relaxing because the vendor only provides you 9MB internal storage.

Luckily, from many disappointing aspects that I’ve mentioned above, there is one cool thing that you can get on this phone. Thanks to its FM Recording support, now you can easily record your favorite live broadcast on the radio with this phone. The quality of its FM radio on this phone also already supports Stereo, so the sound comes out widely in your ears.

Although this phone is already injected with the support of Java MIDP 2.0, it doesn’t mean this feature will help you a lot in running applications or games. Moreover, this screen resolution of this phone is only 128x128 pixels, so don’t expect any great quality applications or games can be played perfectly on this phone.

Bottom line, released in the low-end market, Samsung must be ready with the consequence that this phone will be absolutely compared to other low-end smart phones at the same price range, but are far more sophisticated than this phone. And the task will become much harder for this phone to gain recognition and market share in the market if other mid-end smart phones are migrating to the low-end market. Yup, Samsung E2120 Zinnia will definitely lose the battle.

Instead, people are now hunting for the most sophisticated cell phones in the market in order to help them do their daily basis activities that require quick access of technology. So obviously, cheap low-specs cell phone like Samsung E2120 Zinnia cannot fulfill those needs.
