Samsung Mobile B7320. Anyway, few moments ago, I’ve already discussed about one other Samsung QWERTY phone, Samsung Chat 322, which also looked similar with Samsung Mobile B7320 on body design. However, by looking at the whole specification and feature that being brought in this phone, Samsung Mobile B7320 is definitely better than Samsung Chat 322.
For instance, the screen resolution and screen size of Samsung Mobile B7320 are higher than Samsung Chat 322, although the color display of Samsung Mobile B7320 (65K colors) is surprisingly lower than Samsung Chat 322 (256K colors)
. And then, Samsung Mobile B7320 also has Windows Mobile OS, higher camera capability, HSDPA and WiFi connections, GPS and much bigger storage than Samsung Chat 322. So once again, Samsung Mobile B7320 is far better than Samsung Chat 322.

Design
Samsung Mobile B7320 runs in the same concept design with BlackBerry QWERTY phones, where the screen is embedded in horizontal view, it has QWERTY keyboard, it’s designed in rounded body shape and there are bunch of physical keys on the front side.

On the back side, the 3.15MP camera will be presented to you. I think the most prominent element or the highlight of the back cover is the “SAMSUNG” logo that is written inside the metallic trimming. With this metallic trimming, the back side of this phone looks elegant and more attractive, while the 3.15MP camera is also placed in much lighter color than the entire side, which also creates a great accent on the back side.
Interface and Functionality
Since this phone is operated by using Microsoft own operating system Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard OS (which can be upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.5), then the bottom position of the user interface is made by the vendor and Microsoft itself with the taskbar. On this taskbar, besides the “Start” navigation alongside the Windows icon, there is also the right navigation to the Contact menu. So basically, it kind of looks like the User Interface of Windows-based PC or laptop.
On the left side of the screen, there is a black transparent window that you can fill with some shortcuts to your favorite or most used applications. And then, on the top of screen, you can find 3G icon, battery and signal bars. Below the top position, you can also place a clock and date calendar, while on the lower position, there are 3 notifications for missed call, received text messaging and new emails. The background can also be changed with other wallpaper or your own personal photos if you’re already bored with the default wallpaper.
Applications
On the main menu, the applications and other menus are presented in small icons in front of white background. On this menu, you can find some standard Windows-based applications that you normally see on your PC or laptop, from Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, Adobe reader, File Explorer, Java, Task Manager, Office Mobile, even Solitaire can be found on this phone, and also other applications which are specifically made for mobile device, such as: Facebook, Messenger, Streaming Player and many more.
Camera
Samsung Mobile B7320 comes with 3.15MP camera without the support of LED flash. Once you open the camera gear, on the interface, you are given with many choices to adjust the quality of your photos or video recording.
There are 9 navigations that can be utilized on the camera interface:
- Camera mode (Camera and Camcorder),
- Shooting mode (Single shot, multi shot, frame shot, mosaic shot and smile shot),
- Scene mode (Auto, night mode, landscape, portrait and text),
- Resolution (0.07M – 3M),
- White balance (Auto, Daylight, cloudy, incandescent and fluorescent),
- ISO mode,
- Metering (Average, spot),
- Effect (Black and white, sepia and negative), and
- Setting option.
Conclusion
Bottom line, it’s pretty rare to see BlackBerry QWERTY phones run in Windows Mobile OS, so Samsung Mobile B7320 is definitely a fresh addition to the market. Thankfully, this phone comes with many great things, from WiFi and HSDPA supports, 3.15MP camera, good performance, GPS, Pocket Office application and many more.
So if you want to know how it feels to have a BlackBerry QWERTY designed phone with Windows Mobile OS experience, then this phone is a good choice or at least, this phone can be added in your hunting list for BlackBerry designed phone.
