Yeah, if the other touch screen phones from Samsung mostly have a really great design, then Samsung S800 Jet is no exception. The 3.1 inch screen that dominates the front side of device looks pretty huge and it gives a great impression of a portable device that the screen size is not really huge and it’s not really small too. The size is just perfect as a portable smart phone. It feels nice in our hands and fits perfectly in our pocket.
The back cover of Samsung S800 Jet is produced in plastic material, so practically it leaves finger prints easily and makes the back cover look dirty in the longer period. But the design of its back cover still looks great overall. On the same position, you can also find the 5MP camera and its LED flash. So everything about snapping good photos is well accommodated on this phone.
The one thing that becomes the highlight on the front side is the D-Pad alongside 2 other physical buttons below the wide screen. This D-Pad is designed in the shape of 3D cube in skewed angel. So it kind of makes the front side of this phone stand out among other competitors that mostly have some casual physical buttons which look similar and blending with the other buttons.
Volume buttons can be found on the left side and the front camera is equipped on the front side above the screen, which you can use it to do video calling.
Interface and Functionality

And if you don’t like some of your widgets, you can also delete them with your finger touch. So basically, operating the screen of this phone can be so much fun and relaxing in the long hours of usage.
On the bottom position of the screen, there are 4 main keys that you can use to customize the user interface of this phone. And they are: Keypad menu, Phone book, Message box and the main menu.
On top of the screen, there are also some useful information regarding the events that happen on this phone, such as: clock, notifications/updates, volume bar, signal bar and battery level. All are presented in small icons on the black transparent background.
Overall, the user interface of Samsung S800 Jet looks nice and the performance of this phone is pretty good. However, sometimes, there is late response that always occurs when floating or moving widget around the screen. But it doesn’t really give huge impact to the whole performance of this phone.
The other interesting part from the screen is that you can also change the background with more beautiful wallpapers or maybe your own personal images. The background wallpapers for this phone are also available to download on many free phone wallpaper websites.
