Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman: The Pros of this Phone

Sony Ericsson has been really popular with its already established music brand, Walkman series, as dedicated music cell phones. I’m actually one of the biggest fans of this series, which is why I still have Sony Ericsson W910i in my side. Anyway, in the recent trend, Sony Ericsson doesn’t want to be left behind by other competitors to produce touch screen cell phones to the market. And that is the reason that makes

Sony Ericsson wants to bring touch screen experience to one of its Walkman series called Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman

.

Released to the market at an affordable music cell phone, Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman looks great on the design aspect and it also has a good music capability. However, since the price of this phone can be considered as cheaper than most of touch screen devices around the market, some of the specs on this phone had to be sacrificed by the vendor.

Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman: The Pros of this Phone

Couple of months ago, I had already had Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman reviewed on this blog. And based on that review, despite the use of proprietary OS, not Android OS, this phone is still a worth buying cell phone, but only at the low price range. Well, it’s obviously because around that price range ($80 - $120), you can still have many other choices of touch screen phones that are much much better than this phone, just like the list I’ve dedicated for Sony Ericsson W150i aka Yendo a couple of days ago.

So this time, I want to show you the 2 sides of Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman as thorough as I could, the good and the bad side. I mean, the pros and the cons, which hopefully can be helpful to help you decide whether to buy this phone or not. But I want to start first with the pros of this phone, and the cons will be uncovered on the next post. Okay then, without much longer introduction, here you go.

1. It has a Higher Processor than Some of Android Phones Out There

Despite the fact that this phone is only injected with the proprietary OS, not Android OS, this phone still has a little bit higher 800MHz processor than some of Android phones out there, such as: Xperia X8, Xperia X10 Mini & X10 Mini PRO or Sony Ericsson W8, which all have only 600MHz processor.

2. It’s a Walkman Series

Since this phone is rolled out to the market under the Walkman family, then this phone automatically comes with good music capability. With the injection of dedicated Walkman Player, your music hobby will be accommodated well on this phone. Listening music with this phone can be so much better because it also has been equipped with touch screen technology.

3. It’s a Touch Screen Phone

Although the overall performance of user interface is not that impressive on this phone, the fact that can’t be put aside is that this phone is a touch screen device. So it’s good to have Walkman series phone that already has touch screen input method, which makes everything look and work simple with finger touch. Sophisticated!

4. It Has WiFi Connection

Browsing internet either inside your own house or via on-the-go around the hotspot area can be a really pleasing experience because this phone has already been equipped with WiFi connection. Regardless the fact that this phone doesn’t use Android OS, having a WiFi connection on this device can still bring happiness to the users.

5. The Design is Totally Awesome

Appears differently with other Xperia series from this vendor, this phone looks really compact and the glossy plastic material that wraps up the entire body of this phone also feels nice and stiff in hand grasp, which makes it comfortable to hold. The design of this phone also looks amusing at the first sight.

Conclusion

So yeah, those are the pros of Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman that I can reveal right now. What do you think? Do those pros above make you want to buy this phone? Or maybe you want to switch your target to other phones? Well, if you still want to know more about the cons of this phone, then check them out on the next post. See you there.
