Sony Ericsson W150i: Another 5 Great Alternatives for this Phone (Part 3)

Yesterday, I’ve already showed you 5 great touch screen smart phones that can make great alternatives for Sony Ericsson W150i.

In that post, I featured 5 touch screen phones from Sony Ericsson that I think are better than Sony Ericsson W150i, based on the specs and features.

In this post, I want to continue that topic again by showing you another 5 great alternatives for

Sony Ericsson W150i. But this time, the difference between the list below with the previous list is that the cell phone brand or vendor will be scattered to not just from Sony Ericsson only. So I will also include some other phone vendors, such as: HTC, Samsung and LG. And I also widen the topic to not just for Android device only, so I include Windows-based smart phones that of course are touch screen phones.

Sony Ericsson W150i: Another 5 Great Alternatives for this Phone
Sony Ericsson W150i aka "Yendo"

6. Xperia X1

SPECS: TFT capacitive touch screen, 65K colors, 480x800 pixels, 3.0 inches, Full QWERTY keyboard, microSD support, 3.15MP camera, Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS, 528MHz processor, see full specs.

Even tough Xperia X1 doesn’t run in the Android OS, this phone can actually be added in your hunting list of cheap touch screen smart phones. Xperia X1 is a touch screen phone from Sony Ericsson that has been injected with Microsoft own OS called Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and it’s also been equipped with Full QWERTY slider keyboard on the back.

The performance of this phone is considered better than Sony Ericsson W150i because Xperia X1 has much better 528MHz processor than the low 156MHz processor on Yendo. Windows Mobile OS on this phone is the previous generation of Windows Phone OS (which now is getting popular) and can be said as outdated these days. However, considering the price of this phone is now cheap, then there is nothing wrong to buy a Windows-based mobile device that already has touch screen technology and full QWERTY keyboard in really cheap price range.

7. HTC Wild Fire S

SPECS: TFT capacitive touch screen, 256K colors, 3.2 inches, Android Gingerbread OS, 600MHz processor, 5MP camera, microSD support, HTC Sense UI, see full specs.

HTC has also been really active in Android market besides other giant vendors from: Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG or Motorola. This company has also partnered with Google in the past to land Google Nexus One in the Android market, which is a great Android device that time. This time, HTC, with HTC Wild Fire S, is back again to bring users with more options for pocket smart phones.

Although the specs of this phone can be considered lower than Xperia X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro, HTC Wild Fire S is actually a great phone because it already has Android Gingerbread OS, 5MP camera and the performance of this phone is guaranteed better than Sony Ericsson W150i, thanks to its 600MHz processor.

8. HTC Touch Pro 2

SPECS: TFT resistive touch screen, 3.6 inches, 65K colors, 480x800 pixels, microSD support, 3.15MP camera, Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, 528MHz processor, see full specs.

Another HTC creation called HTC Touch Pro 2 can also be added in your list as a great alternative for Sony Ericsson W150i because it offers much better specs. For instance, HTC Touch Pro 2 has been armed with Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, just like Xperia X1 above, and it’s also powered by 528MHz processor.

So it’s no doubt that the whole performance of this phone is still faster than Sony Ericsson W150i. The other worth mentioning aspect of this phone are the QWERTY slider keyboard on the back, which looks really nice on this phone, and also the user interface of this phone which is called “TouchFLO 3D”, which also looks more attractive.

9. Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570

Samsung has been doing a fantastic job in Android market because this company looks stand out around the crowd and it has become the biggest threat for Apple’s iPhone in mobile industry. Besides offering users with wide range of premium high end smart phones, the one called Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 shows that Samsung still cares about the existence of low and mid-end Android market.

Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 is an Android Froyo-based smart phone that brings great quality features and wraps them up in a cute tiny little device. Thanks to its 600Mhz processor, the whole performance of this phone is much faster and the user interface is smoother than Sony Ericsson W150i, no argue to that. 10. LG E400 Optimus

SPECS: Android Gingerbread OS, 3.15MP camera, 240x320 pixels, TFT capacitive touchscreen, 256K colors, 3.2 inches, 800MHz processor, microSD support, see full specs.

I know that LG E400 Optimus has just been released to the market last month by LG. But seeing that this phone is rolled out to the market as a cheap Android device, then this can be great news to all of you. Anyway, LG has been struggling really hard to gain recognition and market share in Android market. So hopefully, by releasing this cheap smart phone, LG can have much to say in this fierce competitive market in the future.

LG E400 Optimus is an Android Gingerbread device that has been armed with great quality specs and features. And surprisingly, this phone is powered by 800MHz processor. So fluid user interface and faster performance than this phone are the ones that you’re gonna get on Sony Ericsson W150i.
