X-plore for Nokia N73 users. In those articles, I mostly talked about all the great things about this file manager and also the other file managers that could make great alternatives for X-plore.
Anyway, just so you know, I actually kind of forgot about how long I’ve been using X-plore in my whole life, but yesterday, I just heard that, besides for Symbian-based smartphones,
X-plore for Nokia N73 is now available also for other platforms. So this time, through this post, I want to share to you 5 new things about X-plore that I just stumbled upon a couple of days ago. Read on!
1. X-plore for Nokia N73 is Now Available for Android and Windows Phone platforms
Cell phone market has been insanely populated by many touch screen smartphones. And among them, Android devices along with the Apple’s iPhone have become the giants in this industry these days. So that becomes the reason why Lonely Cat Games (LCG), the one that develops X-plore for Nokia N73, decides to bring X-plore experience to Android smartphones.
This can be a great way to expand the market and the users of this file manager to be much bigger than before, thus, help Android users enhance the functionality of their devices to the next level. Not to mention, besides Android, LCG also ports X-plore to Windows Phone platform. Way to go X-plore! On the other hand, it’s a truly huge loss for iOs users because they don’t get the chance to try this awesome file manager on their iPhones.
2. X-plore on Android Looks Even More Modern Than Before
If you compare X-plore for Nokia N73 with X-plore on Android smartphones, you can see that there are big differences on the user interface of both platforms. On Android, X-plore now looks even gorgeous and modern than on the Nokia N73 or any older Symbian phones.
That’s maybe because since Android devices mostly use touch screen technology, then operating X-plore will also be tailored with the touch screen input method on Android devices. Now copying, moving, deleting, compressing and other main functionality can be operated so easily by using your finger touch.
3. X-plore Now Has Dual Pane Explorer
Unlike the X-plore for Nokia N73, X-plore on Android now has another cool addition and it’s called “Dual Pane Explorer”. With this feature, now you can view 2 folder windows at the same time, on the left and right window. Which means, you can copy or cut files/folders on the left side and paste them on the right window, or the other way around.
4. X-plore Now Has Picassa Image Album
On X-plore for Nokia N73, your personal photos can be viewed easily on this file manager. But what if you urgently want to search other pictures that cannot be found on your phone? Luckily, that issue can be tackled so easily because on Android, now you can search for more images because X-plore on Android is now integrated with Picassa image albums, which can be accessed by using internet connection. With this cool addition, you can also upload your photos, create albums, delete photos and also edit photo captions inside your Picassa account by using X-plore.
5. X-plore Now Has a New Button Bar
Wouldn’t it be great if X-plore for Nokia N73 had a button bar feature? Yeah, I bet I’d be great. Unfortunately, that kind of feature was not provided yet on the older Symbian devices. On the other hand, on Android, you can get that kind of feature. Yup, with this button bar feature, you can easily put your desired buttons on this bar and will be automatically shown on the right window between two panes, which makes it easier to do particular operation on the same window at the same time.
Conclusion
So yeah, those are 5 new things that I just stumbled upon around the internet about X-plore for Nokia N73 a couple of days ago. If you currently have an Android smartphone besides your lovely Nokia N73, then X-plore is definitely a must application to download for your phone.
