The reason is because those iPhone users always nod along by what Apple orders to them, like upgrading the iDevices every year (even though there are only slight new things on the newest devices), blaming themselves, not Apple, if their iDevices don’t work properly, defending Apple no matter what the reason is, and many other things. So that’s why Android community calls them as “sheep”, and even “iSheep” sometimes. It’s actually funny if you’re on the neutral side.
Funnily, in the final series of that ad video, those bunch of what were called as “sheep” decided to get off the line of new iPhone and get the “Note” instead. While most of them in line have already gone, apparently, there is one who stubbornly remains in line still waiting for the new iPhone, and guess who? Of course the Barista.
Even though the name “Apple’s iPhone” was not mentioned in that video, many people would obviously know that it was targeted directly to what it’s called as “sheep”. Besides, the tag line, “if it looks the same, how will people know if I upgraded?” that appeared in the last part of that video clearly showed who had been referred in that commercial.
