KS360 LG Mobile, $50 Cell Phone with QWERTY Slider Keyboard

Seeing the journey of LG can be quite interesting because this vendor is still trying so hard to make smartphones that sell in the market. Any type of cell phone has been made by this company, from the old day’s casual cell phones, the keypad slider phone and finally, the touch screen phones. And interestingly, despite the fact LG is currently not the biggest market share gainer, there are some LG cell phones that are actually good, but some of them are not that really good, even bad. The one called KS360 LG Mobile can be categorized as low-end cell phone these days, based on the specs. But surprisingly, this phone can be a good texting cell phone, thanks to its QWERTY slider keyboard.

KS360 LG Mobile looks like it’s made for office workers because the design of this phone, especially on the front side, has a professional or classy look. However, when the QWERTY slider on the back is opened, as you can see, this phone looks kind of cute and fun because the color of its QWERTY keyboard, which is light blue, appears to be so contrast with the entire black case cover on the front side.

I think the design of its QWERTY keyboard on this phone makes it more suitable to use for teenagers, instead of adult people who work at the office. However, since this phone has the QWERTY keyboard, it’s also perfect for office workers.

KS360 LG Mobile comes with some great things to offer. For instance, the User Interface of this phone looks really fancy, especially on the main menu interface. It's also interesting to know that this phone has also supported resistive touchscreen technology, which can be pretty handy in phone dial mode.

The buttons on the QWERTY keyboard are also easy to press and very responsive with a given task, for example is when using it in the text messaging editor. The Accelerometer sensor of auto-rotate also works nicely when you position this phone in landscape mode or when the QWERTY slider keyboard is opened. The camera quality of this phone may not bring the best quality of photos to you. However, having a 2MP camera on this low-end budget phone is still acceptable.

Since this phone is a Java-based cell phone, running in the proprietary platform, then having a 2.4 inch screen with the supports of TFT, 256K color display and 240x320 pixels is the best you can get on this phone.

KS360 LG Mobile has been equipped with some basic elements of Java cell phones, such as: Bluetooth, USB, 2MP camera, Stereo FM radio, office document viewer, Photo/Video Editor, 3D Image gallery and many more. And if you feel that the 64 MB internal storage is not enough for you, you can also opt to buy microSD external memory for up to 4GB capacity. Unfortunately, this phone doesn’t have 3G supports, and only runs in the 2G network.

So in conclusion, I’ve seen many great quality Java cell phones out there, but most of them are made by Sony Ericsson, not LG, Nokia nor Samsung. However, the fact that this phone is already equipped with QWERTY slider keyboard is actually interesting because it’s pretty rare to see cell phones have QWERTY keyboard on the slider. Most of Java phones out there usually only have numeric keypad on the slider, not QWERTY.

So if you’re looking for an affordable cell phone with QWERTY slider keyboard, then KS360 LG Mobile could still be added in your hunting list. Besides, the price of this phone, which is only around $50 is really cheap.
