Design

The first thing to notice on the design aspect of this phone is that LG Optimus ME P350 looks and feels really tiny. It even could fit perfectly in your palm. And what makes the design of LG Optimus ME P350 a little bit unique is the width of this phone that appears a bit wider than other contenders. It’s also interesting to know that this phone is an Android-based smartphone that for sure will help make it easier for people to love this phone even more. That story would have been different if this phone had been injected with proprietary OS.

Interface and Functionality

As many people have expected, with Android OS, comes fluid and fast user interface. And LG Optimus ME P350 certainly does that job really well. Sliding the screen to the left or right direction can deliver such a fast performance, thanks to its 600MHz processor and 176MB of RAM. Entering to the main menu is also a pleasing experience for users. Touching, tapping, moving and sliding the screen to the top or bottom position to find your wished apps are really comfortable to do because the user interface of this phone works really smoothly. Unfortunately, when closing current application, it can take a little while to really close it.

Web Browser

The other pleasant experience can also be found on its web browser. It’s a great news that LG Optimus ME P350 already supports multi-touch input method, which can be really handy in “pinch-to-zoom” mode in web browser. The major drawback of its browser is the absence of Adobe flash, even though it still can open flash-based elements on internet, such as: ads and Youtube videos. However, this doesn’t cause any notable impact to the browsing experience on this phone. It’s still great.

Although it’s pretty laggy when opening heavy web pages, at this low-end price range, LG Optimus ME P350 can still be considered as good quality smartphone.

Screen

Since the price of this phone is not that expensive, then you cannot expect something that high-end smarphones have. With the “only” supports of 240 by 320 pixels in screen depth and 256K color display, the screen of this phone looks considerably average. And since this is a pocket smartphone, then the screen size of 2.8 inches is acceptable for users, which still looks nice and wide on the front side of device. Below the screen, 4 capacitive buttons and 2 other physical buttons (phone send and phone end) have been equipped. Overall, the design and the screen aspect of this phone can be considered good in this LG Optimus ME P350 review.

Multimedia and Entertainment

Multimedia aspect also gets the best treatment from the vendor. The audio quality is good, the 3.5mm jack is provided, the interface of photo and video menu looks impressive (with pile of photos interface ala Android), and despite the fact that this phone only has small screen size (2.8 inches), the experience of watching movie is surprisingly strong and intense, thanks to the good sound quality on its loudspeaker. Not to mention, auto-rotate works pretty smoothly on this phone. And if you want to insert a lot of media files to this phone, then you will be happy with its already equipped 2GB microSD card (expandable for up to 32GB) to support its 140MB internal storage.

Connectivity

Surfing internet can be so pleasant, thanks to its WiFi and HSDPA supports. Want to snap photos? you got it. With the injection of 3.1MP camera and autofocus support, your digital photography hobby can be well accommodated on this phone. Unfortunately, the camera of this phone doesn’t have LED flash, which is important to take pictures in low-light area.

Performance

LG Optimus ME P350 has been injected with Android Froyo OS, so it opens up the access to run many Android apps across the Google Play market. Other worth mentioning features are Document viewer, GPS, Bluetooth, Java MIDP Emulator, SNS integration, Google Apps and many more.

Conclusion

Bottom line, as a small pocket smartphone, LG Optimus ME P350 does a really great job in the whole aspect. The low-end price tag that sticks to this phone doesn’t make this phone look and work like a cheap phone. Surprisingly, this phone still delivers satisfaction to many users. The specs that come with it are also acceptable since this phone is a low-budget smartphone.

So in conclusion, if you’re looking for a pocket touch screen smartphone running on Android platform, buying LG Optimus ME P350 doesn’t really hurt you as a customer. It has smooth user interface, good performance, complete package of connectivity including WiFi and HSDPA, Android OS and the most importantly, LG Optimus ME P350 comes with a bonus 2GB microSD card. So definitely, you’re gonna be a happy customer if you decide to buy this phone.
