Sony Registers Its Patent for the Next Playstation Phone Equipped with 2 Sliders for Gamepad and QWERTY keyboard

Apparently, seeing the mediocre result that Sony received through Xperia Play, Sony doesn’t want to loose the gear and is ready to clash Apple’s devices in the field of handheld gaming. With more and more people buying Apple’s products solely as gaming devices, besides as a smartphone, Sony prepares a new fresh strategy in order to compete Apple. Recently, Sony just filed its patent with USPTO for the next PlatStation phone that rumor says will be equipped with not just one gaming slider just like the old Xperia Play, but it will also be armed with an extra QWERTY keyboard on the other slider. Isn’t that cool?

This will absolutely add an extra bulk for the next Xperia Play or whatever it’s gonna be called because many users of Xperia Play already experienced that this phone felt a bit bulky in hand grasp even though it was only equipped with one slider keyboard for PlayStation certified gamepad.

However, seeing that the trend of nowadays’ smartphones, which is getting thinner and thinner, then it’s really possible that the next PlayStation phone will be equipped with 2 sliders but still follows the recent trend of “thinner smartphones”. Besides, we all know that Sony is not a new player in this industry anymore, so this company certainly knows what it’s doing, right?
