Samsung GALAXY S III Beats iPhone 4S in Benchmark Tests, in Term of Hardware Performance, Web Browsing and Graphic Quality

Yesterday, the most awaited smartphone from Samsung, Samsung GALAXY S III, had finally been revealed after so many worth exaggerating rumors and speculations that surrounded it. Some showed disappointments, but some many other people showed satisfactions and excitements regarding the whole aspect of this phone, especially with the quality that Samsung GALAXY S III offered to users as a whole functionality device. Anyway, since few months ago before this phone finally made its first debut yesterday, many of “Android geeks” had been predicting that Samsung GALAXY S III would blow other Android counterparts out of the water. And apparently, what they guessed had come to fruition.

According to the benchmark tests that have been done by PhoneArena and other tech groups by using some reliable benchmark tools, such as: Quadrant Standard, AnTu Tu and Nenamark, Samsung GALAXY S III has proven itself it can beat many latest high profile smartphones, in term of graphics, web benchmark and performance. The likes of iPhone 4S and HTC One X have to admit that Samsung GALAXY S III is truly their toughest rival than other smartphones around the market to date.

Samsung GALAXY S III Beats Many Latest Smartphones in Benchmark Tests, in Term of Hardware Performance, Web Browsing and Graphic QualityBased on the AnTu Tu Android benchmarking tool, Samsung GALAXY S III scored around %20 higher than the HTC One X, that showed how tough the 32nm chip that Samsung GALAXY S III adopted inside its machine. And then, on some other occasions, Samsung GALAXY S III with its Exynos quad-core processor still tops some aspects than on the HTC One X (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core).

For example is on the Quadrant benchmark test, this new Galaxy phone beats the whole performance of HTC One X, scoring around 5200, which is higher than the HTC One X could score.

However, on other occasions, Samsung GALAXY S III scored slightly lower points than HTC One X. First example is according to the web benchmark test by using Vellamo, that saw this phone score 2.094, which was below than the score 2.350 of HTC One X. On the other hand, on Linpack and Nenamark benchmark tests, Samsung GALAXY S III scored almost as high as HTC One X, that gave them the score 60fps on Nenamark graphical test and also the score around 50 (single-threaded)/100 (multi-threaded) on Linpack benchmark test.

Anyway, even though iPhone 4S must not be considered as the “real contender” for Samsung GALAXY S III, because people have been expecting that iPhone 5 will be the one that can compete this Samsung’s flagship, iPhone 4S is still iPhone 4S. You like it or not, it’s still a powerful device from Apple. And besides, iPhone 4S made its first debut in October last year, which means it’s only 5-6 months older than Samsung GALAXY S III.

Therefore, although iPhone 4S is only equipped with 1GHz Cortex dual core processor, while Samsung GALAXY S III is powered by 1.4 GHz Exynos quad-core processor, iPhone 4S can still be an equal contender for Samsung GALAXY S III.

Anyway, based on the few graphics and browsing benchmark tests held by Anandtech a while ago during the hands-on session, Samsung GALAXY S III proved could beat even the PowerVR GPU in the iPhone 4S. The graphics and processor of this phone also showed impressive results in those tests. The combination of the Android 4.0 iCS and the quad-core processor on this phone also gives a high fast performance on overall web benchmark test.

In conclusion, these benchmark tests above will surely make many fans of Samsung GALAXY S III even happier because this is exactly what they have been expecting before. On the other hand, these impressive results of Samsung GALAXY S III will absolutely put many competitors, including Apple in “red alarm” situation that they must make much, much better smartphones than Samsung GALAXY S III in the future if they don’t want to lose the in the war.

So, congrats for Samsung GALAXY S III, you’ve just made so many people, especially your fans proud.
