Just a while ago, mobile phone industry has been given such as fresh air by Sony Mobile because this company is in the preparation to launch the newest line up of Xperia series. Sony Xperia GX was the first entry that just made its debut in Sony Mobile’s latest announcement. And it’s not only that. Following that first announcement, Sony Mobile apparently also has another smartphone to launch, and it’s called Sony Xperia SX. Unlike the first brother, Sony Xperia SX appears to be the mid-end version of the high-end Xperia GX, where Sony Mobile puts slightly lower specs on Sony Xperia SX.

Sony Xperia SX features 3.7 inch screen supporting qHD display with Sony Bravia Engine technology, 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and Android 4.0 ICS injected. The other specs that are worth underlining are the supports of infrared port, LTE technology that enables high speed internet connection, mobile TV and mobile wallet.

Talking about the camera aspect of this phone, Sony Xperia SX can be a great device for digital photography related activities. Besides its powerful 8MP camera on the back and front facing 1.3MP camera, Sony Xperia SX has been equipped with Exmor R technology to help capture better photos in low light environment and 3D Panoramic that enables you to take photo in much broader landscape area which later will be captured as 3D displayed photo.

Actually, you should see how 3D Panoramic feature really works in the real implementation in order to understand what I’m saying because it’s really an awesome feature on the latest smartphones from Sony Mobile.

Maybe the biggest drawback of Sony Xperia SX compared to the Sony Xperia GX is the screen size, where Sony Xperia SX only has 3.7 inch screen, while Sony Xperia GX puts 4.6 inch screen on the front device. The camera of Sony Xperia SX only has 8MP camera, which is lower than the 13MP camera of Sony Xperia GX. Luckily, the vendor doesn’t sacrifice the hardware performance of this phone. They both are planted with 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4.

If you live in the region outside Japan, you should be patient because Sony Xperia SX will make its first debut in Japan in the summer. However, we should hope that this awesome device will finally land on other countries after Japan.

Sony Xperia GX and Xperia SX First Promo Videos Showing Off Their Pros

As it’s been reported earlier, Sony Mobile Announced that it wanted to launch 2 new smartphones that were prepared as the new successors of its previous Xperia lineup. The first one that Sony Mobile showed off in the announcement was Sony Xperia GX. And the second one was called Sony Xperia SX.

By judging on the specs of both devices, Sony Xperia GX is clearly promoted by Sony Mobile as a high-end premium smartphone, while on the other hand, Xperia SX is categorized as a mid-end smartphone. However, both devices are still really powerful smartphones, in term of performance (1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor).

Anyway, the summer is on the verge to arrive, which means Sony Mobile will finally be ready to stock many stores in Japan with both Xperia devices (while the other regions will still need to be patient to wait for the release date of these new devices). Therefore, this company has also prepared the first promotional videos to accompany the releases of Sony Xperia GX and Xperia SX.

In those promotional videos, Sony Mobile shows off Xperia GX and focuses more on the curve design of this phone that appears to be the revolutionized design of the previous pride model, Xperia Arc. Not to mention, the mega huge 13MP camera with Exmor R sensor also becomes the other major feature that gets revealed in that video.

As for the Sony Xperia SX, this mid-end soldier also doesn’t want to be left behind by the older brother. In the video, Sony Mobile focuses the video on the cute appearance of Sony Xperia SX and its flashing buttons.

So hopefully, with these new releases, both devices can finally open up much broader audience for Sony Mobile because this company is one of the best cell phone companies, despite its small slice of market share in smartphone industry.
