So that’s why, in order to counter attack this threat, Apple has been preparing several new devices in the upcoming months, which one of them is believed to be an iPad Mini with 7.85 inch screen, the almost similar screen size that is adopted on Kindle Fire, a cheapest tablet PC from Amazon (i.e., 7 inches).
According to Reuters, instead of producing 8.9 inch Kindle Fire, it appears to be that Amazon will leave that project and focus on making the 10.1 inch Kindle Fire. This surely increase the speculation that Amazon does really have intention or “secret” goal, which is to compete with iPad, instead of just being the king in Android tablet market.
Can you imagine that by paying only $199, you can get a great quality Android tablet that is not only capable of handling many high sophisticated games and apps, but also has a powerful battery life (You can ask many Kindle Fire users out there, and trust me, they will agree with this statement).
Anyway, this 10.1-inch Kindle Fire is planned to launch in the third quarter of 2012. There is no exact price detail of this tablet yet, but seeing the history of Kindle Fire as a cheapest tablet pc, then I don’t think Amazon would have any intention to change the “cheap price tag” aspect on its creation, since it’s the best selling point of this tablet.

Anyway, if you don’t have any clue about what Kindle Fire really is,
Kindle Fire is a cheapest tablet PC made by Amazon, and it’s currently one of the most popular tablets around the Android tablet market (along with Samsung GALAXY Tab 2). Not to mention, Kindle Fire is also the best selling item on the Electronic section at Amazon.com.
Usually, Kindle Fire is priced at a normal $199 price tag. However, since we all know (or maybe you haven’t known) that Amazon recently has been preparing to launch a much bigger Kindle Fire with 10-inch screen and screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, the 7-inch Kindle Fire will allegedly get the price cut of $50 so it went from $199 to $149.
