7.000 Third Generation of iPads Will Arrive in Some Airport Restaurants to Accompany Guests and Customers

Apparently, the popularity of Apple’s pride tablet, the iPad, is steadily increasing day by day and makes it the most popular tablet on this planet, owning the biggest share in the tablet market to date. And with the launch of its latest 3rd generation or

"The New iPad"

that brings much better display and performance, iPad’s position in the tablet market seems more and more unreachable for other non-iOS-based tablets out there to catch up.

That is the main reason why many institutions like companies, organizations, schools, universities, and even hospitals are choosing iPad and starting to implement the use of this

the new iPad for the people around those places

. And it looks like, an airport restaurant is about to become the next place where you will meet many iPads that are provided for you so you can use it while eating your favorite meals.

7.000 Third Generation of iPads Will Arrive in Some Airport Restaurants to Accompany Guests and CustomersRecently, restaurant operator OTG planned to order over 7.000 3rd generation of iPads and will spread them out around the restaurants that are run by this company.

These iPads are said will be provided for the customers as the device for not just playing Angry Birds only, but they can also use it to order meals, browse internet and even track the current flights in that area.

This staggering 7.000 number of ordered iPads is stated by OTG CEO, Rick Blatstein, as the largest consumer deployment of the tablet in the world, and only Apple Stores can beat that number.

The reason why this company trusts Apple with its iPad over other tablet creations around the market as the main device at its airports is because iPad is a perfect device that is so useful for travelers around the airport and since many people there are already familiar with the User Interface and functionality of iPad, then it’s not that hard for even non-tech-savvy kids to use it.

Currently, this company has already upgraded around 400 of older generation iPads in New York’s LaGuardia Airport, while the remaining 2.000 of older iPads in that airport are still waiting to be “updated”. Meanwhile, around 5.000 of the new iPads are said will also arrive on 2 airports at Toronto Pearson International Airport and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, which each of these airports will get 2.500 of iPads.

Rick Blatstein believes that it will only take around 1 year to get all the 7.000 iPads deployed in those airport restaurants. Another future goal of this company, according to Rick, is also to place iPad units on every seat in every OTG restaurant, accompanied by an AC outlet and USB port in order to enhance the convenience for customers while sitting waiting for their next flights.
