In the recent months, Nokia has been tremendously busy in marketing its latest Lumia army to the cell phone market. Latest report also showed how the efforts that have been spilled by Microsoft and Nokia in developing Windows Phone-based smartphones was starting to pay off, that saw Nokia Lumia 610 and Lumia 900 do a great job, in term of sales, on their first launch in Finland, the HQ of Nokia, a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, the more recent report that just came in could otherwise give a “slap in the face” for Nokia. And the worst thing, it could also ruin all the expectations and sales progress on one of Lumia series,

Recently, some interesting findings have been discovered regarding the capability of Nokia Lumia 610, especially in term of hardware and performance. As you know,

. Adjusted with the $255 price tag on this device, Nokia Lumia 610 brings some mediocre specs, from 800 MHz Qualcomm processor and planed with 256MB of RAM.

Even so, according to Joe Belfiore, the guy from Microsoft, with those mentioned specs above, Nokia Lumia 610 is believed can run any kind of app on Windows Phone Marketplace and there is only 5% of the entire apps on the marketplace that is incompatible with that phone.

However, sadly for the users of this phone because in that 5% percentage of incompatible apps for Nokia Lumia 610, some popular games and applications are included in this category.

From a popular bird-shooting game called Angry Birds, Skype, Tango and PES 2012 have been proved are incompatible and cannot be run on Nokia Lumia 610. Some say that the reason of why these apps don’t work on Lumia 610 is because of the insufficient RAM in this phone, which is only 256MB anyway.

Weirdly, some other smartphones that come with similar specs just like Lumia 610, such as: Droid 1 (256MB of RAM), Samsung GALAXY Ace (288MB or RAM), Samsung GEM (250MB of RAM) and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic (less than 256MB of RAM), all can play “Angry Birds” perfectly.

So what is the exact reason those apps cannot be run with Nokia Lumia 610? Is it the software problem, which then throws the blame to Microsoft? Or maybe, is it hardware issue, which will be Nokia’s fault?

But hopefully, Microsoft and Nokia can work this on together because loosing customers for this kind of issue, which I think is ridiculous, will really disrupt their entire plans to achieve their goals, which one of them is to make Windows Phone smartphones as popular as iOS and Android devices.

Angry Birds Finally Will Work on Nokia Lumia 610. Thanks to New Software Update

Few days ago, we’d been shocked by a ridiculous news saying that from all the 5% percentage of apps on Windows Phone Marketplace that was incompatible or couldn’t work on Nokia Lumia 610, some popular games felt into this category. This certainly gave a “slap in the face” for Microsoft and Nokia because from all the

incompatible apps for Nokia Lumia 610

, many popular apps like Angry Birds, Skype, Tango and PES 2012 just couldn’t run on that phone.

Insufficient RAM of this phone (256MB of RAM), was said as the real reason why

those games couldn’t work with Lumia 610

. Weirdly, some other smartphones with the same amount of RAM, mostly from Samsung, surprisingly could play Angry Birds perfectly without a problem (based on the real user experiences).

However, luckily for Lumia 610 users, that problem is about to be solved anytime soon because some developers of those apps are still working on this problem and are planned to release a new software update in the upcoming future in order to solve this issue.

Angry Birds is one of those apps that is said will have the new “optimized version” arriving in the future that is targeted for Low-RAM smartphones, including Nokia Lumia 610.

So here you go, the developers for the rescue. However, there is a bit another challenge for Nokia and Microsoft because some other popular apps that falls in that 5% “incompatible apps” category, like Skype and Tango, both require smartphones to have at least MORE than 256MB of RAM to run the apps, which is CANNOT be fulfilled by the tight 256MB RAM on Lumia 610.

Will these devs be willing to work on the similar “optimized version” apps for that Low-memory Lumia? Only time will tell. But hopefully, they will.
