Apparently, after making its “second” debut on Android (the first one was on iOS), the photography related app called

Instagram doesn’t come with no problem at all because some newer Android devices just cannot run the app perfectly

, mostly the app crashes suddenly when being used. And the worst thing, some of those newer Android devices that cannot use the Instagram are the high profile ones, like Samsung GALAXY S III, HTC EVO 4G LTE and HTC One X, which are so popular these days in Android community. Fortunately, the developer comes for the rescue.

Recently, Instagram just announced and rolled out the new update for its app on Google Play Store that will fix the issue for those 3 high profile models above. However, if the Android device that you’re using right now is not one of those 3 hot smartphones,

then you can still download the Instagram on Google Play Store

Instagram was really popular in iOS community

. And now, this photography related app is even more popular in the entire smartphone community. Despite its lacking of complicated features, this simple photography app is the main weapon for iDevices users every time they want to share their recent taken photos to their family and friends via one of the most popular social networks in internet, Twitter.

With the increasing popularity of this app on iOS platform,

the developer of Instagram decides to spread its wings

in order to expand its business to much bigger market than before, so Andriod platform becomes the next target. This surely makes many Android users happy.

But apparently, even though many people happy with that decision, there is one person, an important one, who doesn’t really like with the occurrence of Instagram on Android. And he is the Senior Vice President of Apple in marketing division, Phillip W. Schiller. After seeing that Instagram had been ported to Android, he decided to deactivate his Instagram account (@schiller) along with his Instagram account on his Twitter account.

And this also makes Instagram loses its exclusiveness. Moreover, Facebook has also acquired Instagram and integrated this app on its Facebook website. So Schiller feels that Instagram is not so special anymore to him.

Fake Instagram Found on Third Party Website and Contains Virus

For many iPhone users out there, Instagram can be a really important application on their phones, especially if they have digital photography hobby to spill. Even though many tech savvy users said that Instagram is not the best and only offers really simple photography functionality than any other similar apps on App Store, it appears to be that this app has been one of the most popular photography-related applications on App Store these days.

No wonder that recently, Facebook just bought the ownership of Instagram for $1 billion and integrated it with Facebook a couple of days ago. This shows how Instagram is really popular in iOs community. Even social network, say, Twitter, also loves this app really much. It’s shown by how many Twitter users that also have iPhone, mostly post their recent photos on their Twitter accounts by using Instagram.

Fake Instagram Found on Third Party Website and Contains VirusAnyway, not long before Instagram was bought by Facebook, this app also brought a fresh air to many Android users out there by rolling out the Instagram on Google Play Store, an Android application store, where at the first time Instagram had been available only for iOs users.

Unfortunately, shortly a week after the launch of Instagram on Android market, the bad news came around.

It has been reported that Android version of Instagram is not only available to download on Google Play Store, but this app can also be found on a third-party website. However, instead of the real actual version of Instagram, the users who downloaded this app on that third party website, got the fake version of Instagram. And the worst thing, it also contained malicious virus.

This can be pretty weird because even on Google Play Store, Instagram can actually be downloaded for completely FREE because it’s a FREE app. So why would those people decided to get it from third party website in the first place? I think, maybe they simply didn’t know that instagram was actually FREE.

Anyway, the “fake” version of Instagram is stated will do some illegal stuff once it’s installed on your phone. So, once the app is installed, it will automatically connect your phone to Russian networks before it sends you text messages in the background, and the next thing you know, this app illegally steal your money and send it to hackers.

And apparently, this didn’t only happen on Instagram users, some popular games like Angry Birds Space and Madden NFL 12 also have the similar clone versions on third party websites that do the same bad things like the fake version of Instagram did.

So I think you have to be really careful when downloading application on any third party websites. If you want to get some particular apps for your Android phones, then Google Play Store is your best destination because it’s more reliable and trusted, right?
