Rejoice Gamers! It’s been Confirmed, Gameloft’s “The Amazing Spiderman” and “The Dark Knight Rises” Will not be Freemium Games

At the recent E3 conference held few days ago, Gameloft just showcased its 5 newest games that would arrive soon on smartphone and tablet gaming in upcoming months. With Asphalt 7: Heat had just been rolled out few days ago and successfully became the top paid game on App Store recently, now the eyes of many handheld gamers will be centered on 2 other Gameloft’s next games, the big ones,

and they are “The Amazing Spiderman” and of course “The Dark Knight Rises

, which both of them are adopted from the actual movies that will also come out later on theater (it rhymes, huh?).

However, there are rumors that so annoyingly have been plaguing the release of these 2 movie tie-in games, saying that

The Amazing Spiderman and The Dark Knight Rises will be rolled out by Gameloft as Freemium games

.

Rejoice Gamers! It’s been Confirmed, Gameloft’s “The Amazing Spiderman” and “The Dark Knight Rises” Will not be Freemium GamesWell, if you have been playing the recent mobile games for quite some time, you will also know that “Freemium” is like the most hated and cursed word in smartphone and tablet gaming because this kind of game looks attractive on the outside for the reason that it’s FREE to download, but, on the inside, FREEMIUM games bring many bad things to users because this kind of game will squeeze your credit card “politely” with its in-app purchases "feature" that mostly are needed in order to proceed or accomplish some particular missions inside the game, like buying accessories, upgrading level, even buying stamina can be found in FREEMIUM games.

And things can get so much worse if kids play FREEMIUM games because once they get the access of your credit card at the first time log in, unconsciously, they will likely use it again and again to squeeze your money even deeper by using this in-app purchase feature.

Anyway, back to the topic. Regarding the rumors that said that The Amazing Spiderman and The Dark Knight Rises would be released by Gameloft as FREEMIUM games, thank God, those rumors just got tackled by Gameloft’s representative a while ago.

According to source, Gameloft just confirmed via the email sent to ComicBookMovie that, luckily, The Amazing Spiderman and The Dark Knight Rises would not be made as FREEMIUM games, although in-app purchases will probably still be added to these games.

Product PR Manager of Gameloft, Tom Price,, through his email said :
Hey there, this is Tom Price, Product PR Manager for Gameloft. I just wanted to correct something in your post. Neither Spider-man nor Dark Knight will be “freemium” titles. They are both definitely premium titles, though we can’t reveal their price or what the structure of any in app purchasing system may be at this point. But I just wanted to clear up that they are definitely not “freemium”.
We just like to be careful with that since a lot of people think “freemium” is a bad word ;-)

    Thanks,
    Tom
This is surely such a great news for many of Gameloft’s fans because no one doubts about it that “The Amazing Spiderman” and “The Dark Knight Rises” will absolutely be the most anticipated games when they arrive soon on App Store and Google Play Store in upcoming months. And releasing these 2 games as FREEMIUM will definitely hurt many of its loyal fans. So, good job Gameloft! We can’t wait for much longer to get the hands on those 2 incredible games on our devices.

The Dark Knight Rises Teaser Trailer Released by Gameloft. Will Arrive on Android and iOSAnyway, earlier, we’ve already known that “The Amazing Spiderman” will be made by Gameloft as an open world game, where Spiderman can swing up in the sky or just walk and run on the street of Manhattan. So how The Dark Knight Rises will look like?

According to IGN, The Dark Knight Rises game will also be an open world game just like The Spiderman game, where you can have a free-roam environment that you can freely explore without any barrier. So it’s like the combination of Grand Theft Auto III and Batman Arkham (the console game).

Unfortunately, rumor also has it (it’s even been confirmed) that The Dark Knight Rises, along with The Amazing Spiderman will be made by Gameloft as freemium games, where you can download these games on your smartphone for FREE, but the in-app purchases will play an integral part in proceeding some particular missions inside the games.

Anyway, Gameloft also just released the teaser trailer for this Batman movie game and by looking at a glance, the graphics look enhanced compared to the much older games by Gameloft. Some people believe that this game will be slightly similar with the gameplay or concept of the popular console “Batman Arkham” game, which looks freakin’ awesome already, in term of graphics, storyline, voice acting and gameplay.

Download The Dark Knight Rises for $6.99 on Apple App Store or Google Play Store

So if you’re a die hard fan of Batman games, especially Batman Arkham, then you’ll absolutely want to get this game for your iOS or Android device anytime soon. Be sure to check out the teaser trailer of “The Dark Knight Rises” below to see how this game looks like.
