What We Should Expect From the Arrival of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean?

With the recent tech-related conference held by Google called Google I/O is still a day away to officially begin, now one of many things that make everyone, especially Android enthusiasts, excited is of course the new installment of

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

OS that allegedly will get announced in that huge event, along with the other rumored Google Nexus 7 tablet and 5 new Nexus smartphones that are expected to arrive in December this year.

And apparently, the possibility of “JB” Jelly Bean to be unveiled by Google is becoming much much stronger this time as this tech giant just added a new statue of “Justin Bieber”, no I mean Jellybeans, of course, at Google’s HQ in Mountain View.

Anyway, so everything is clear now that

Google will finally launch the Jelly Bean

, thanks to the newly revealed Jellybeans statue at Google’s Headquarter.

But, what can expect from the arrival of this new Android variant, besides the rumors saying that it will be injected on Google Nexus 7 tablet and GALAXY Nexus phone?

Okay then, here let me show you some new things that are expected to be found in the Jelly Bean update.

New Search Engine Bar

Well, some time ago, besides Google Nexus 7, we’ve also known that GALAXY Nexus phone will be the first phone that comes with Jelly Bean 4.1 installed (which can be bought on Google Play Store on device section, by the way). And in the screen shot of the checkout of that GALAXY Nexus phone, there is a new appearance of the search engine bar on the homescreen. So yeah, that is the first thing that we can expect from this Jelly Bean update, the new search engine bar.

Built-in Chrome Web Browser

The second thing to expect is Chrome web browser, which is developed by Google itself, that is also predicted will come and replace the use of built-in web browser on your Android phone (of course after your device gets updated to Jelly Bean). This can actually be a great news since Chrome has been known for its fast and smooth performance. However, Flash Player support is stated won’t be available to find in the Chrome.

Built-in File Manager

The next thing to expect from jelly Bean update is definitely the feature that many Android users have been wanting so bad and so long. And it is a built-in file manager. This absolutely is the best addition for Android devices because it will be made by Google itself. So now you don’t need to look some where else in case your Android device doesn’t come with stock file manager pre-installed.

The Continuance Absence of Flash Support in Jelly Bean

The Flash support is also predicted will not come in this Jelly Bean update as Adobe itself has confirmed regarding the absence of Flash support since the Ice Cream Sandwich was rolled out on Android long time ago.

Google Voice-based Assistant

If S-Voice has been made by Samsung to its latest Android creations (Samsung GALAXY S3), then Google also wants to give you the other alternative and it’s allegedly called as “Google Assistant” or “Majel” (both names are still uncertainty). It’s good to see that Google doesn’t want to be left behind, especially by the Siri on iOS devices, in the voice-based-assistant world.

New Virtual Keyboard

Lastly, people also believe (with their fingers crossed) that Jelly Bean is gonna bring new updated virtual keyboard and it’s predicted to be integrated with Google’s new voice assistant (you know, the “Google Assistant” or “Majel”).

Conclusion

So there you go, you have it. With Google I/O is on the edge to realization, we should wait and see when the conference begins. However, it’s worth noting that since the jump of this new Android version is only from 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) to 4.1 (Jelly Bean), then this “Justin Bieber” update won’t bring huge significant and major enhancements than the previous version, unlike when Google rolled out ICS to replace the old Gingerbread, where the jump was from the version 2.3 (Gingerbread) to version 4.0 (ICS), which brought one hell of major improvements.

But it’s still good however to have new search bar on the homescreen, new voice based assistant, new User Interface, new built-in Google own file manager and built-in Chrome web browser to our beloved Android, isn’t it?
