HTC Rezound Will Be Getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Apparently, the owners of HTC Rezound should be grateful because their devices will be getting the sweet love of Android ICS in the near future. Yeah, the certainty regarding the arrival of

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for HTC Rezound

just arrived a while ago from the memo that was grasped by a source for Android Guys recently.

HTC Rezound Will Be Getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream SandwichAccording to that memo, HTC Rezound was among some other Android devices from Verizon that would be getting the ICS updates in upcoming future. In that memo, the

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for HTC Rezound is slated on July 29th

and it will be available to grab via OTA (over-the-air).

This update weighs around 292MB, so for those of you the owners of this device, make sure that you prepare a good and stable internet connection, if it’s possible, use the WiFi connection, in order to avoid disconnection during the downloading process.

Interestingly, besides HTC Rezound that would get upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, in that memo, some other Verizon’s offered devices, like Motorola Droid RAZR and Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX have been receiving the ICS updates since last month, to be exact, on June 22nd, although only 71% of those devices that have received the updates.

As for the users of HTC Rezound, this can surely be such a good news because not all HTC’s devices are eligible with the ICS updates in the future. Therefore, if you are currently holding the HTC Rezound in your hand and you feel like wanting to feel a new experience in your device, then upgrading your phone to Android ICS is definitely the answer.

Bad News Everyone! LG Optimus Black Will Not Get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Every smartphone around the market has its own pros and cons, no argue to that. However, one of many cons that can turn users into disappointed and even mad customers is when the manufacturer decides to write off some particular devices from receiving the future new software updates. That actually just happened to one smartphone from LG called LG Optimus Black. Recently, LG Canada just declared that

LG Optimus Black would not be getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the coming future

.

Bad News Everyone, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Not Coming to LG Optimus BlackBad News Everyone, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Not Coming to LG Optimus BlackYeah, this can be such a slap in the face for the owners of this device. However, LG’s decision to not include

LG Optimus Black for the future Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich updates is still acceptable considering this phone was released back in the days of 2011

, last year.

However, the owners of this device will feel disappointed even more when knowing that Samsung phone that also was released last year, Samsung GALAXY SII, one of Samsung’s special ones, would later be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, while ICS update for this device was already an old news long time ago.

But again, this can be acceptable since we all know that Samsung GALAXY S II is selling like Justin Bieber’s albums around the market. No wonder!

Anyway, the bad news doesn’t come only to the owners of LG Optimus Black because the other LG’s smartphones from last year release, LG Optimus 2X, also won’t be updated either with Android ICS.

So there you go, apparently, having a smartphone from Samsung is a lot better than having a smartphone from LG. Hopefully, LG will still put the customers of its 2012’s devices as top priority in the future, making sure that they will still be getting even the newer builds of Android versions after the Jelly Bean.
