Rumor Strikes Back: Kindle Fire 2 Will Launch Allegedly on August 7th

Just a while ago, we’ve been struck by a news saying that

Amazon would speed up the release date of Kindle Fire 2

in order to calm down the potential competition in 7-inch tablet market as the Google powerful Tegra 3 quad-core Nexus 7 has just been launched a couple of days ago, with also the pressure from Samsung GALAXY Tab 7 is becoming stronger and fiercer than before, not to mention, the upcoming threat from the iPad mini is about to come to fruition as many trusted and reliable source such as Bloomberg and Wall Street Journal have both confirmed regarding the rumor about iPad mini’s arrival. So it’s really clear for us that Amazon is now cornered in the market that weirdly, was created by Amazon itself.

So, Amazon has to change its course of direction and switch to plan B, which is to move the release date of

Kindle Fire 2 from November to possibly August

. And apparently, that is not just a flashing rumor as multiple sources have reported that Amazon Kindle Fire will indeed be “premiered” by Amazon on August 7th next month. And to prove that it’s not just a rumor, Amazon recently reportedly has ordered over 2 million units from Chinese manufacturer Quanta.

This second gen of Kindle Fire is said to have a metal frame with plastic body. And the screen of this tablet will be supplied by LG, while the touch panels come from TPK Holding.

However, as usual, Amazon is still tight lipped as the specs of this Kindle Fire 2 are still vague. So we should wait for the progress of this interesting speculation to finally come to realization in the near upcoming months. Meanwhile, if you still want to buy the first gen of Kindle Fire, you can get it now for only $199. And the rumor also has it that the price of Kindle Fire 1 allegedly will be slashed by Amazon in order to freshen up the inventory and prepare to welcome the new Kindle Fire 2 units in Amazon’s secret warehouse.

The Kindle Fire 2 Will Likely be Announced on September 6th. Event invitations have been sent out for media

With the arrivals of several new gadgets in tech-related industry are on the verge in upcoming weeks, then calling this end of August until September as tech month of the year wouldn’t be too exaggerating, right? Anyway, if other companies have their own “new kids on the block”, then Amazon doesn’t want to be left behind. After few rumors of the sequel of Kindle Fire have been floating to the surface, now the media apparently has finally found out that

6th of September will likely be the launch of Kindle Fire 2

.

The Kindle Fire 2 Will Likely be Announced on September 6th. Event invitations have been sent out for media
Although I’m not really sure whether

September 6th will be the day when Kindle Fire 2 shows its face or not

, but at least we can all be very positive about that possibility, especially given the fact that Amazon has officially sent out invitations for media publications to attend its new event that later will be held on September 6th next month. So it would make a perfect sense that the event should be a perfect time for Amazon to roll out the Kindle Fire’s sequel.

However, it looks like Amazon will face a tough battle from Motorola because this phone manufacturer will also announce its latest device in upcoming month, allegedly Motorola Droid RAZR HD at the Motorola/Verizon event a day ahead of the Amazon’s event. So Amazon is well aware that some of its thunder will be stolen by Motorola. Or otherwise, Motorola’s thunder will be stolen by Amazon.

Besides Motorola, Amazon must also be willing to share media attentions to Nokia and Microsoft because both companies will also announce their first 2 Lumia devices with Windows Phone 8 flavor, which is also pretty exciting too!!

Luckily for Amazon, around that time, Apple still keeps its new iPhone 5 in the cage until the right moment arrives, possibly on September 21st. So Amazon, along with the Motorola, Nokia and Microsoft will still have a fair share of popularity around that time.
