According to the leaked internal document, the ICS updates for both devices have been slated and will be available to get OTA (over the air) on July 12. It’s also stated that the owners of

Samsung Epic 4G Touch and GALAXY S II will be informed immediately as the process of Android 4.0 ICS updates

 is expected to finalize until July 20th.

However, if you happen to own one of these 2 devices under Sprint carrier and you haven’t received any information regarding this ICS update by the end of July 20th, then you might need to visit Sprint’s website or contact the carrier yourself to get more info about it.

Just slightly similar like any ICS update you can find on any Samsung’s smartphone, this upgrade will bring new features like Face Unlock, improved data monitor, new User Interface for sure and many more.

It’s actually really bad that such a good quality device like this has to be stuck with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the rest of its life, joining the LG Optimus Black and other Android counterparts that won’t get the Android 4.0 ICS in the future.
