Dell XPS 10 Announced at IFA event and it Comes with Long Lasting 20-hour Battery Life

With some laptop OEMs like Lenovo, Toshiba or Asus have already made a decision to enter the tablet-making industry in the recent trend, then it’s about time for other OEMs to join together and compete in this new competitive environment. Among those notebook OEM, Dell is one of them. This manufacturer is ready to bring competition in the tablet PC market by bringing its new tablet PC called

Dell XPS 10

, and it will be running Window RT on its core platform.

As its name says,

Dell XPS 10 is a 10-inch tablet PC and it’s running Windows RT

. And just like some other rivals around the market, Dell XPS 10 also comes with a keyboard dock.

This can be acceptable since most of tablet PCs that use Windows OS either Windows 8 Pro or Windows RT, all comes with a standard keyboard dock, maybe it’s a sign that the trend of notebook has changed to tablet PC.

I think one of the pioneers of tablet PC with keyboard dock is definitely ASUS with its popular Asus Transformer line. Besides, the Godfather of those OEMs, Microsoft, already showed to us earlier before its own home-made tablet called “Surface” that is equipped also with a keyboard dock (and stylus). So no wonder if those manufacturers will also follow Microsoft’s step to bring the similar products.

Anyway, something that might interest people in getting this Dell XPS 10 is probably its powerful long lasting battery life. According to Dell itself, Dell XPS 10 is believed could last around 20 hours of usage. Not to mention, new owners of this tablet PC will be glad to hear that Dell XPS 10 will also come with a 10-inch HD screen, microSD card slot, microUSB port and a possibly a Qualcomm processor.

There is no word about when this device will be announced by Dell, but maybe when the Windows 8 OS itself has launched on October 26th, Dell will finally unveil this tablet to the public. So be sure to stay tune on this blog.
